Miss Kate Towle
Services were held Monday afternoon from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for Miss Kate C. Towle, member of one of San Rafael’s pioneer families, who passed away last week at her home in this city after a brief and sudden illness.
Coming here as a small girl with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Towle, the deceased resided in the family home at Mission and Nye streets. In later years she continued to make the residence her home and the home of many persons who came to this city. Miss Towle was also well known for her generous support of charities.
Following services at the church which she had attended over the years, graveside rites were held at Mt. Tamalpais cemetery under direction of Keaton’s Mortuary.
