Miss Julia Byrne, Aunt of Miss Mary Cummings, Passes

Miss Mary Cummings of San Rafael, has received the sad news of the death of her aunt, Miss Julia Byrne, in New York last Saturday.

For many years Miss Bryne (sic) was a teacher in the Santa Rosa schools, and before she retired a few years ago was principal of the school in New York. She was born in California at Chinese Camp in Tuolumne County.

During her work in New York she was sent to Europe for study and research by the new York Board of Education.
