INEZ BYERS
Inez Margaret Byers, retired nurse, died Sunday in a local hospital after a long illness. She was 67.
She was born and reared in Alabama. She came to California where (sic) she was 18 and took her nurses training in San Jose. She worked as a nurse in that area until moving to Marin County 19 years ago. She continued her nursing career until ill health forced her retirement the first part of this year. She lived at 34 Manor Road, Greenbrae.
She was a member of Catholic Social Service Auxiliary.
She is survived by a step-sister Helen Hannan of Santa Rosa and a brother, E. J. Hannan of San Francisco.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Sebastian Church in Greenbrae. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael. Burial will be in Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery, Santa Clara.

BYERS – In Greenbrae, August 5, 1973, Inez Margaret Byers, wife of the late Joseph W. Byers, stepsister of Mrs. Helen Hannan and E. J. Hannan, aunt of John and Thomas Copp, Mrs. Evelyn Inez Montil and Brian Cohn. A native of Alabama, age 67 years. A member of Catholic Social Service Auxiliary.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral Wednesday August 8, 1973 at 9:30 a.m. from Keaton’s Mortuary, 1022 E Street, San Rafael. Thence to St. Sebastian Church, Greenbrae where a Requiem Mass will be offered for the repose of her soul at 10 a.m. Interment Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery. Rosary services will be recited at 8 p.m. at the Keaton Chapel, Tuesday, August 7, 1973.
