Hundreds Mourn At Mrs. Dollar’s Bier

To her last resting place, the body of Mrs. Margaret Dollar, widow of the late Captain Robert Dollar, was borne today as the Dollar chimes, which she and her husband had given to the San Rafael Presbyterian Church in which they and their children and grandchildren had worshipped, sounded notes of the hymns which she had loved so dear.

Her casket was placed in the family vault in Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery beside that of the late Captain Dollar, death reuniting the couple who had worked together for 57 years of married life and made the name of Dollar famous the world over. Captain Dollar, who established the steamship line which bore his name and engaged in world trade, died nine years ago. Now his life partner has joined him in death.

At the simple service at the Presbyterian Church this afternoon, Dr. John Jefferson Canole, pastor of the church, spoke of the God fearing and Christian life which Mrs. Dollar had lived, the inspiration which she had been to her husband and family………….
